A Great Month

I've decided that this is going to be a great month for me.

There is, of course, no way of knowing whether a month will be great. But I figure if I at least throw myself into potential fantastic and fun situations, then perhaps the month will have a better chance of being fantastic and fun. So here goes.

Potential fantastic and fun situation #1 for this month:

I'm going to make 10 collage illustrations this month! 10! The only way I will be able to do this is to shake off the perfectionist in me, dive in and and go for it. Thanks NaNoWriMo for the inspiration. Here I go! Weeee!

Potential fantastic and fun situation #2 for this month:

I'm doing the above 10 illustrations as part of Molly Blaisdell's annual November Golden Coffee Cup Challenge. So I've got a sort-of tribe to keep me company on the journey. Hooray for company on the journey! It makes the potential for fun all the more sweet.

Potential fantastic and fun situation #3 for this month:

I'm ditching the perfectionist this month of Thanksgiving. She's taking a vacation this month. She's visiting Iceland or something (I figure a place with the word "ice" in its name probably has to be about as far away as it gets from my new home in the sweltering tropics). I have a short list of a few things I really want to do or try but have held back for one reason or another. I have some kinda good reasons -- like I haven't had time, and some really stupid reasons -- like I'm shy. The long and the short of it is, I think all the things on this list would be fun and fantastic to try soon. So I'm going to. (For example, I should totally be able to find a yoga class in KL, no? I guess it's just been hard to let go of my yoga studio back home -- but finding a new class here would be fantastic and fun).

So I'm aiming for a good month.
I hope you are plotting towards a fabulous month too.

Cheers!
