Finishing my CLI Course

I've been taking a correspondence course through the Children's Literature Institute the last couple of years. This week, I've been working on revisions for my last assignment of the course. Yay for me!

The course is geared more towards magazine writing than picture book writing (picture book writing is really my focus). But it still has been helpful. Mostly I've liked the idea generating exercises I've learned through the course and I like some of the revision stuff I've learned. Plus I've written at least two stories as assignments that have some promise (including the one I'm revising now). But most of all I think it's a self esteem booster to get through a longer course. It's given me a good dose of can-do spirit (my favorite kind of spirit to have).
